The Battery Charge is managed by the Eva internal battery. When there is no other energy sources available, the Eva enters Battery Mode. The player then disposes of 5 minutes of internal power in Normal Mode (See AT-Field Modes), and only 1 minute in Shield and Racing Mode. If the timer countdown reaches 0, the Eva shuts down, the player loses a score point and must try again. The timer resets by collecting the Battery Item, or by acquiring an alternative power source (See Items).
